Agave or Maple Syrup sweetened Lemonade

I’ve been meaning to make a lemonade for a while, and lately I’ve been making way too much desserts that tend to leave remains in the fridge, so I didn’t want to make another big one to fatten myself up, so this is a light one.

This lemonade is sweetened with agave or maple syrup, it’s your choice which you use, I really don’t think it would make much difference. I really like that it doesn’t take long for the sweetener to dissolve, unlike sugar, which you have to boil.

This makes about two small cups, and I recommend to have it with a couple pieces of ice. For the lemon juice, I buy the freshly squeezed versions, but you can squeeze your own lemon juice if you like, it may take a few lemons though.

When you’re not drinking this, put it in a jug or bottle in the fridge and should keep for a while. I haven’t tested out how long though, as I basically devoured them in a day. Though you can double or triple the recipe to have more stored.

BTW if you like a bit of a soda feel, you can replace water with carbonated water, so that it feels all, oooo I’m drinking Sprite kind of feeling, haha. If you are using the water, I also recommend using filtered water, rather than tap.
