Chocolate Black Sesame Power Truffles

I really love the taste of black sesame seeds ground up! I first knew about them through glutinous rice balls, something we have at a Chinese festival each year.

So, if that works, I would imagine that black sesame paste would work with other desserts, so I tried it here!

OMG I think these are some of the tastiest truffles I’ve made. It’s not too sticky, hard, just the right amount of sweetness, moist and really tasty! I’m so excited about how they turned out, but I find that it works out best when you add ingredients already ground up, and use a spoon to mix it in a bowl.

This reminds me, I couldn’t believe it but sometimes when you work with nuts, the order of things is so important in the taste. I remember making nutella once and I added the almond milk too early and the whole thing just tasted off. I tried again later and added once the nuts became buttery, and it turned out perfect.

I think from my experiences of making desserts like this, taste often goes with order, or how you blend it. If you add all the ingredients in a blender, the taste may come out completely different! Fascinating isn’t it? I would love to learn more about exactly how this works!
